- backlight appears to be controlled by PWM from timer 1. Range of 0 to 0xA00, with 0 being off and 0xA00 being full brightness.
- contrast appears to be controlled by PWM from timer 2. Range is 0 to 0xA00, but it's very nonlinear at the low end.
