git clone, meta-renesas & meta-rcar

The command of A fails, but the command of B succeeds.
Is there something you noticed from this?

A: git clone git://github.com/renesas-rcar/meta-renesas
B: sudo git clone git://github.com/renesas-rcar/meta-renesas

Why do you think adding a "sudo" will succeed?
