Eventually I might buy a Raspberry Pi to use as a media server for my Apple TV . To do this, I'll use RPiForked-Daapd. The trouble is that RPiForked-Daapd tends to stop working/break after a new version of iTunes is released. I'd like to be able to remotely update it from Terminal.
On my Mac, I can use Automator to create a program which will run a shell script once I know which commands I need to use.

I found an article about setting up SSH and one about setting a static IP address, but I have no clue about updating programs through the command line.

How would I update RPiForked-Daapd on the Raspberry Pi via SSH? Which commands would I need to use in Terminal?
MacGeekhttps://elinux.org/index.php?title=Talk:RPiForked-Daapd&diff=381056Talk:RPiForked-Daapd2015-05-22T20:17:00Z
MacGeek: Talk page autocreated when first thread was posted
