Executive Summary

Our project is too make two nodes to be added to the NodeRed project. The first node will be voice recognition and the second node will be speech synthesis.

Give two sentences telling what works: - Wifi is working - NodeRed is installed - Voice Recognition software is installed - Voice recording/playback works

Give two sentences telling what isn't working: - Live recording is not working well with pocketsphinx for some reason. - Integration to NodeRed is not there yet.

End with a two sentence conclusion. A lot more work to be done.


Jerry Talyor of Mansfield, IN is going to make a fantastic wooden laser cut and laser engraved box for us.

Download latest realizes from CMU Repo of both sphinxbase and pocketsphinx. The version currently being used is 0.8 Go to sphinxbase root directory and run

make install

Suggest addition things that could be done with this project.


Node Red does not provide a very good architecture for acting as a speech recognition system and dispatcher, which resulted in our choice to investigate other options.
