Meego is the combination of Moblin (from Intel) and Maemo (from Nokia).
Announcement
MeeGo was announced in February of 2010, as a joint collaboration between Intel and Nokia to bring Moblin and Maemo together to create a single embedded Linux software platform. In 2011 Nokia left Meego and later in 2011 Intel replaced Meego with Tizen which they set up with Samsung.
