Power socket

Use 15 V power supply with two pins plug (FRIWO Texas plug, http://www.friwo-shop.de/en/accessories/secondary-adapters/194/texas-plug?c=7383 ). The power supply should be able to provide 15V with max 1.2A. Voltage input range is higher (12V to 18V) Pin 2 - VCC, pin 1 - GND

On-Board Memory/Storage

RAM: DDR3 SDRAM

The Renesas R-Car H2 Stout board DDR3-1600 RAM is organised into four 4-Gbit DDR3-SDRAMs (2 channels x 32 bit).

Flash: 64 MB SPI

64 MB Spansion S25FL512S SPI Flash. Maximum clock rate for SPI is 48.75 MHz.

Switches and Buttons

  • SW1 - Power on/off button. For switching power on push button shortly. Press for >4sec – for power off
  • SW2 - RESET button
  • SWC1__8 - Dip switch 8x. SWC[8] - off = on board qspi flash, on = external qspi flash
  • SW5 switch settings must be default (OFF OFF). The SW5 is for internal use only. Different switch setting

disables the JTAG debug mode

Connectors

Video Out

R-Car H2 incorporates three display units (DUs). DU0 and DU1/DU2 can be connected with the LVDS interface. DU0/DU1/DU3 can be connected with the digital RGB interface. DU2 can be connected to a LCD panel with TCON module.

HDMI

Digital RGB888 signal from R-Car H2 is connected to Analog Devices ADV7511 HDMI transmitter. Internal registers of ADV7511 are accessible via I2C interface (slave addresses: 0x72 for writring, 0x73 for reading).

The following displays have been tested with Stout board: TBD

Video In

R-Car H2's video input 0 (VIN0) is directly connected with the video input plug. R-Car H2's video input interface supports ITU-R BT.601, ITU-R BT.656, ITU-R BT.709, ITU-R BT.1358 There is the connector (SAMTEC FTSH-117-01-F-DH [ https://www.samtec.com/ftppub/pdf/ftsh_smt.pdf ]) on board for video input.

JTAG (CN11)

The R-Car H2 Stout board incorporates a 20-pin connector for connection to the ARM JTAG emulator. TCK, TDI and TMS have 1.8V pull-up resistors 10kΩ. TRST_N have 1.8V pull-up resistors 4.7kΩ JTAG connector - SAMTEC FTSH_110_01_L_DV [1] JTAG interface is powered with 1.8V.

Debug Ethernet (CN10)

R-Car H2 Stout board includes one 100 Mbps Ethernet interface for debugging purposes. Micrel KSZ8041 PHY is used, in RMII mode.

Storage

microSD Card Slot

MicroSD card slot is connected to SD card host interface SDHI0 of R-Car H2. Micro SD voltage is 3.3V.

USB 2.0

TBD

440 pin connector

There is 440 pin connector for custom extension boards. This connector provides access to following R-Car H2 Soc functions:

  • RMII 100Mbps, RGMII 1Gbps
  • USB 2.0, 3.0
  • QSPI, SPI
  • PCIE
  • LVDS DU0 / DU1
  • UART, CAN
  • Video inputs

Some pins are shared between 440 pin connector and other connectors thru several multiplexers. For more information about it? please visit this page R-Car/Boards/Stout:CPLD There is the pinout for 440-pin connector in the File:R20UH0001ED0000 UM start.now.pdf Appendix 4.2
