  • jkridner: As much as I love BBB, hijacking elinux's BeagtleBone page with this redirect of yours is completely inappropriate. If you want the Beagleboard.org and capes sites to be known to readers, add your information to the main wiki article. The precedent you've set is apalling. Just imagine if every manufacturer were to hijack community wikis this way with their own redirecting portal pages. Community wikis are not corporate portals for manipulating this way. I'm going to revert this change, but giving you a chance to see your error and do so yourself. Morgaine (talk) 14:31, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

This was done in conjunction with User:Wmat. I'm not thrilled by having two sets of pages rather than simply contributing to the community page, but there is a desire to be able to assert a certain amount of accountability for the information and allowing/monitoring all community edits makes that difficult.

There is no redirect, merely a link. I suggest working with User:Wmat if you want to change how people get to the "official" pages. Of course I'm willing to entertain any specific suggestions you might have, but I hope you appreciate our efforts to keep critical community resources on eLinux.org with editors who won't keep up with every community edit.
