beaglebone hub content

Jump to: navigation, search

Hey Dave,

Nice to meet you.

I am a new BeagleBone user who is pretty confused by the organization of the various BeagleBone pages.

There is some great information on the wiki. It it just hard for new users to navigate that information. I was reviewing the rest of the site and saw the awesome RPI_hub page. I cut and pasted the RPI_hub into my user space and will try to fill in the framework with BeagleBone links and information. Once I am satisfied that the idea is sound, I'll propose moving this hub to the main namespace.

I also don't fully understand the dynamics of the community. Many of the prolific beaglebone contributors seem to paid by companies with specific interests. I would like to take some time to figure out where the toes are before I step on any of those toes :(

As any a personal FYI, I don't have a strong background in Embedded linux. I am a 'Education Guy' who stumbled across Ardunio, RPI, and BeagleBone while trying to answers some Linux questions for a local robotic club :)

Dave,

not sure what you mean about "companies wiht specific interests", but elinux.org is sponsored by the Linux Foundation and is open to the public. there are several sections of the wiki that are restricted edits, such as the "official" wiki pages for beaglebone products. there are community pages that can be openly edited. feel free to add to those pages.
