I have a MS in Mechanical Engineering and have worked at 2 cleantech startups and a swarm robotics company. I am now in school once again taking additional college classes in discrete math, C++, and microcontrollers. In the future I hope to pursue a career in embedded hardware/software for robotic applications with a social/environmental good. I have a wide variety of interests including art, environmental conservation, spoken languages, machine learning, and robotics. As the first woman in my family to pursue a technical career, I'm also passionate about getting girls excited about STEM fields. I teach a monthly online robotics class to middle school girls through the YWCA and I'm always looking for additional ways to promote girls' STEM opportunities. Before realizing that I wanted to be an engineer, I worked as a Foreign Service Officer at the US State Department.
