My first exposure to computers was in the late 1950 when I reconciled machine printed reports with physical inventory. I was emmployed as an accountant and it I followed the development of computers until 1976 when I was able to build an SWTPC kit into a working computer. The operating system, FLEX, was linux like and the hardware included floppy disks.Input and output was on a Teletype ASR35. Software included editor, assembler for 6800, disasembler, and basic. I was able to write a driver for video display. The basic allowed me to write accounting and income tax programs. As educational programs became available I took courses in programming the 6800, Boolean algera and C. In the lat 1990s I switched over to Microsoft programs.
